Zinc and Copper Systems

The use of Zinc and Copper as roofing materials dates back centuries, and you can expect that type of historic wear from a roof made from one of these classic, beautiful materials. Both materials are strong and corrosive resistant, and require the knowledge of a skilled tradesman for installation. Berwald has installed a wide variety of architectural and ornamental metals, including a restoration of the copper roof on the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis, a 100-year old church (see photo).

Standing Seam Metal Roofing

A standing seam roof is constructed of interlocking panels running vertically from the top of the roof to the eave. The interlocking seam where two panels join together is raised above the roof's flat surface, allowing water to run off without seeping between panels. Louvers

The new range of louvers have been designed to provide simple and economical solutions to ventilation problems while offering excellent water rejection characteristics for more exposed/higher requirement areas. Berwald will install louvers according to your specifications.

Screen Walls

Screen walls are commonly used to hide unsightly but necessary equipment atop large buildings. The additional structural loading on rooftops is minimal and most screen walls are set back from the edge of the roof so that the base is not visible from grade.
